Macey’s Story

Sadly Macey is no longer with us but she had seven good years with Chris and Chas :

Hi there, just sending you this photo of Macey who we got from you in November 17th 2010. Sadly, having let you know we had to make worst decision in our life’s tonight, last few days been having problems with back legs kept standing up, kept crossing over.

This afternoon we don’t know why or what happened suddenly on Macey but her legs just gave way couldn’t stand up, she just shovelled on her stomach. Sad to see this happening thought having stroke, we rushed her to vets straight away gave her pain relief, gave us options if things didn’t improve.

After six o’clock went back see if any good news, told no improvement she couldn’t even get up. So went through to see her loving her giving her kisses, could see tried get up of which she really tried to do, also see in her eyes pain of not wanting to be like this, also love not wanting to leave us.

Gave us some time to be with her letting her think taking her home, told her have nice sleep, going in daddy’s car home. We then gave her one last loving hug & kisses, gave us one back, then watched her finally fall into deep sleep.

Our hearts are broken once again, know now she is free any pain, or illness. Running round with all our dogs had over the years, loved & lost, buried in back garden all be near us still.

Had many walks at Hornsea, Humber Bridge, loved nothing better than car rides, may all dreams be happy ones, while we grieve over loss of you. Big hole in our hearts tonight, rest in peace Macey, we missing you already. xxxxxx Regards Chris & Chas
