When his owner fell ill Polar had to go into private boarding kennels at quite an expense and there he stayed for 18 months. His owner has ended up in residential care and has no hope of looking after Polar himself. In his kennel he is understandably very stressed and jumps up barking which puts people off but outside his kennel he is a calm easy going dog, perhaps you can see this in the photo, he quietly sits outside whilst his handler has a cup of tea. |

Kiki is a 3 year old german shepherd, she has found herself looking for a new home through no fault of her own, at the moment her coat is a bit sparce around the chest area as she has had a skin complaint but in the few weeks she has been in foster it has improved greatly.
I met this dog yesterday and she is so pretty, a bit timid at first when she meets some one new, but once she bonds with a new owner she will be a faithful loyal companion.
At the moment she is in a foster home at Holme on Spalding Moor, when she first arrived at her fosterers she was very scared but is now finding her confidence, poor girl she has been with the same family all her life and having bred from her twice they don't want her anymore.
She will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered before she leaves our care .

Bobby is a 4yr old Basset Hound x what else is in the mix, we are not quite sure. He is in foster care at the moment .
His foster mum had this to say about him, Bobby came to us from a married couple who had recently had a child, they said Bobby was getting possessive over his toys and they feared the baby would get bitten. We can take things off him without a problem, I feel Bobby should go to someone experienced with dogs, maybe a family with teenage children, or even a retired couple who can give him the exercise he needs. He is a lovable little chap and deserves a second chance
He is neutered vaccinated and ID chipped. |

Originally an unclaimed stray in a dog pound in Rochdale. There were three dogs that were brought to us all due to be put to sleep as no one in their area claimed or wanted them. The other two have both found new homes in this area, Peggy, a people very friendly dog, is still waiting her turn. |

Lady is a Labrador Cross and is 2 years old
Minnie is a Collie Cross and is 18 months old.
Their owners live in Withernsea, the mum doesn't like dogs and the son didn't bother with them. Only just arriving we are unsure as to whether we will home them together or seperately. They are both energetic and will require a reasonable amount of exercise. |
